Volunteer with Sprouts Cooking Club
at the Hub in San Francisco!
Sprouts Cooking Club is looking for volunteers to
participate in our new “Out of the Box” cooking class
series at the Hub* in San Francisco.
During each class, children will cook lunch for the
Hub workers using one sole inspiration: the weekly
delivered CSA box from Albert and Eve Organics
(Salinas, CA). Volunteers will serve as counselors
for the aspiring young cooks (ages 12-17) and will
work alongside local chefs to help create the meals.
In addition to networking with local chefs, members
of the Bay area food community, and Hub members,
volunteers will have an opportunity to hone their
cooking skills, build improvisation techniques,
and establish confidence in the kitchen. This is an
opportunity to make a difference in the community
by bridging the gap between children, the slow food
movement, and the members of the Hub.
This is a great opportunity for food enthusiasts who
are looking for extra-curricular activities and a
unique cooking experience.
The series takes place on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to
2:00 p.m., beginning on August 16th and running
until December.
Prospective volunteers are asked to fill out the form HERE
and submit a brief statement of intent to
leah@sproutscookingclub.org.
